MARK OF
THE BEAST
Numerological
Meaning of 666
Revelation 13:16-18
- "And the small and the great,
and the rich and the poor, and the freemen and the slaves, it
causes that they give to them ALL a
mark
(Greek 5480)
in their right
hand
or on their foreheads, even that not any
could buy or sell, except the one having the mark,
or the name of the beast, or the number of its name.
Here is wisdom:
Let the one having reasoncount
the number of the beast, for it is
the number of a man
and it's number is six hundred and sixty six (666)."
What is this MARK? For
the meaning of the word mark here, Strong's
points us to Greek 5480 -charagma
khar'-ag-mahfrom the same as 5482; a scratch or etching,
i.e. stamp (as a badge of servitude), or scupltured figure
(statue):--graven, mark. Greek 5481 - charakter
{khar-ak-tare'} from the same as 5482 - a mark or figure
burned in or stamped on, an impression, b) the
exact expression (the image) of any person or thing, marked
likeness, precise reproduction in every respect, i.e
facsimile. Greek 5482 - charax {khar'-ax} from charasso
(to sharpen to a point, akin to 1125 through the idea of
scratching). Greek 1125 - grapho {graf'-o} 1) to write, with
reference to the form of the letters, a) to delineate (or
form) letters on a tablet, parchment, paper, or other
material. Mark'coin' comes from medieval Latin marcus or
marca,
it's etymological meaning being 'mark on a piece of metal, constituting a coin.
I deduct here that those
having the mark are those serving the almighty dollar.
This
deduction is backed up by the meaning of of 666!
In numerology, you would say 666 = 18/9, which represents the
material/spiritual conflict!
18
symbolizes materialism striving to destroy the spiritual side
of nature. It often
associates the person or entity represented (humanity here) by
bitter quarrels within the family circle (humanity/the world)
- with wars, social upheaval, and revolution. In some cases it
indicates making money or achieving position through divisive
tactics through war or conflict. It warns of treachery and
deception from both friends and enemies; also danger from
the elements such as fire, flood, earthquakes, tempests and
explosions, electrical shock or lightening. The only way to
dilute its effect on life is by spiritual means, by unfailing
and repeatedly meeting deception and hatred from others with
generosity, love, forgiveness, by "turning the other cheek"
and returning good for evil, kindness for cruelty, honesty
for dishonesty, honor for dishonor.
9 is the
number of humanness/humanity:
Consolidation, conservation, humanness.
The true mission of
9 is to serve as a minister of God on earth...
but instead most of us serve our own or other's needs, images, identities,
or egos. HUMANITY using the Hebrew numerical alphabet =
5+6+4+1+5+1+4+1 = 27 = 2+7 = 9.
In
numerology,
JESUS = 1+5+3+6+3 = 18/9 - He vibrated to the highest level of 9,
overcoming the 18 (material/spiritual conflict) and showed us
by example, how to serve as ministers to God on Earth!
This is why He is
"the Way, the Truth, and the Life."
(John 14:6).
JESUS = 1+5+3+6+3 = 18/9 CHRIST =
3+5+2+1+3+4 = 18/9
Which chapter is in the center of the Bible? Psalms 118
Fact: There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118 (594 = 5+9+4 =
18/9)
Fact: There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118 (594 = 5+9+4 =
18/9)
Add these numbers up and you get 1188. (594 + 594 = 1188 and
1+1+8+8 = 18/9)
What is the center verse in the Bible? Psalms 118:8 (594 + 594
= 1188 and 1+1+8+8 = 18/9)
Does this verse say something significant about God's perfect
will for our lives?
Psalms 118:8 says, "It is better to take refuge in Jehovah
than to trust in man."
What is this beast? For the
meaning of the word beast here,
Strong's points us to Greek 2342 -therion {thay-ree'-on}
diminutive from the same as 2339 1) an animal, 2) a wild
animal, wild beast, 3) metaph. a brutal, bestial man,
savage, ferocious. Greek 2339 - thera {thay'-rah} 1) a
hunting of wild beasts to destroy them, 2) metaph. of
preparing destruction for men. Strong's Greek 2226 -
zoon {dzo'-on} of a derivative of 2198 1) a living being, 2)
an animal, brute, beast. Greek 2198 - zao {dzah'-o} a primary
verb 1) to live, breathe, be among the living (not lifeless,
not dead), 1) to live i.e. pass life, in the manner of the
living and acting, a) of mortals or character.
So a
beast is an animal; this begs the question what is an animal?
The word animal etymologically is a being that breathes. It
stems from Latin animãlis 'having a soul,' a derivative
of the noun anima 'breath, soul' (which also gave us
the English verb and adjective animate.) Anima is a member of
a set of related words in which the notions of 'breath, wind'
and 'spirit, life' are immediately connected: for instance,
Greek ánemos 'wind', Latin animus 'spirit, mind, courage,
anger' (source of English animosity and animus, Sanskrit ániti
'breathe,' Swedish anda 'breath, spirit, ' and Gothic usanan
'breathe out.' The 'breath' sense is presumably primary, the
'spirit, life' sense a metaphorical extension of it.
Man
breathes, and man has a soul (breath and soul are the same
thing) so YES, MAN IS A BEAST! Not to mention we are directly
told: "Here is wisdom: Let the one having reason count the
number of the beast, for it is the number of a man - and its
number is six hundred and sixty six (666)." (notice "his" is not used here - as in one man, but
it's as in humanity) Again, 666 = 18/9, the number of
material/spiritual conflict. We are the highest
of the animals, and the only animals that struggle with the
material/spiritual conflict. Man in this passage points us to
Greek 444 - man-faced; a human being.
In
most of Revelation, and the passage quoted here, beast points
us to Greek 2342, "a dangerous animal; (venomous, wild)
beast." So this states the beast is dangerous, venomous, and
wild. Dangerous in Hebrew translates as to put in commotion;
by implication to disturb, DRIVE, destroy: break, CONSUME,
crush, trouble, vex. Venomous? Venom is poison that comes
from the mouth, is it not? Metaphorically it can easily
indicate the lying poison of man's words and teachings
individually or as a whole. The meaning of wild points us back to 2342,
beast. Interestingly wild shares a root with the word
bewilder, which has a meaning "to confuse hopelessly."
Proverbs 30:2-3 says, "For I am more beastly than anyone, I do
not have the understanding of a man. I have not learned
wisdom, but I do know the knowledge of holiness." This also
shows how man is a beast. And James 3:13-18 says, "Who is wise
and knowing among you? Let him show his works by his good
behavior, in meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter
jealousy and contention (difference of opinion) in your heart,
do not boast and lie against truth. This is not the wisdom
coming down from above, but is earthly, beastly, devilish."
Devil in Revelation points to Strong's Greek 1228 - from
1225; a traducer; specifically -false accuser, slanderer. Also
please take notice:
Devil is Lived spelled backwards
- as in those of us who live backwards or against God's
original plan. Devil
also contains the words LIE and VEIL.
So I
deduct this BEAST is man in the collective sense (humanity), coming from a
bewildered, confused state of mind, CONSUMED with materialism,
living backwards to God's plan (devil - lived). Man is the
Beast when unbalanced materially/spiritually, and in conflict
over such things as working for survival, instead of trusting
in a higher source to provide. The beast is also our man made
systems of government that enslave us, in which we are forced
to
participate if we are to buy and sell and not become homeless
outcasts. This is (wild) bewildered, confused thinking, and we are
truly being animalistic/beastly when driven by survival
instead of spiritual aims.
In Revelation everywhere a derivative of the word
IDOL
is
used,
the meaning points back to Strong's Greek 1496 & 1497
race; an
IMAGE servant
or worshiper.
Humanity
worships their own image in the world, and pursues the almighty dollar...
"Come now rich ones,
weep, howling over your hardships coming on. Your riches
have rotted, and your garments have become moth-eaten.
Your gold and silver have rusted over, and their poison will
be a
testimony to you, and will eat your flesh as
fire You heaped treasure in the last days..."
-Revelation (considering man lives an average of 70 years, and
works 40-50 years of his life trying to attain wealth and
security, I think it is fair to say that those are THE LAST
DAYS for that man... Every generation experiences their own
last days.)
"Behold, the wages of the
workmen who have reaped your fields cry out, being kept back
by you" -Revelation (I think it is also fair to say we are all
the "workmen" for our companies, countries and lawgivers, who
are the rich ones.)
"And the cries of the ones who have
reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Hosts. You
lived luxuriously on the earth, and lived in
self-gratification;
you
nourished your hearts
(own desires - we are all guilty
of this) as in a day of slaughter..."
-Revelation (we are all
walking towards dying as soon as we are born - to spend our
short time working towards the building of false images
(idols) in the world that will only perish is insanity, and
not what God intended for us.)
"you condemned; you
murdered the righteous (by distracting from the spiritual and
putting the focus on material - the pursuit of worldly things
- building false images as beasts of burden, so that we can
buy and sell to survive) he does not resist you." -James 5:1-6
(We do not resist higher authority, our countries,
governments, etc... if we do we will be put in prison or
killed.)
"Love not the world, neither the things
that are in the world. If any man love the world, the
love of the Father is not in him.For all
that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the
lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the
Father, but is of the world."
